In the fourth quarter of 2024, Lampson partnered with PMI and Vertical Options to execute the lift and placement of 5 modular tower components weighing 10,000 lbs and 40’ long inside an elevator shaft, including a modular machine room, for a man elevator in a Washington state grain tower. The Lampson Manitowoc 14000, with 230’ of boom and a 50’ fixed jib, was set on Lampson’s own fabricated 4×16 steel mats to provide a load bearing solution for the rail tracks below. The precise placement of the crane was crucial to avoid buildings and other obstructions, while performing the lifts effectively with zero safety issues.
